Meet my new friend!

We probably all know those quotes about finding a soulmate, a best friend.. well then, let me introduce you to my newest and best friend in the world! I found this brunette at school, and since our first met we are inseparable πŸ‘

It’s very special to meet someone to look up to, see her as your sister, best friend, buddy, school friend, etc. she fills me up where I need and the other way around.

We spend most weeks since we’ve got to know each other ( end of April) together, like now. We are spending already 5 nights in a row at her place. It’s unique to have a best friend who understands you in everything, ends sentences that you don’t even have to finish, knows exactly what you need and gives you so much love… okay this sounds like a love letter, don’t get me wrong, but this whole situation is so not normal, haha! Usually it takes you so much longer before you feel comletley yourself at someone. Most of the times years.

so Daphne aka, daf, aka, gluten free fried fish, love you to bits and lets go through our bucketlist book! πŸŽ‰πŸ’›

When I saw my last post when I logged in I was a bit surprised.
End of January, that’s a pretty long time ago.
What a day what a day.
We passed half of our first year at school and I’m thankful that so far I’ve passed all the tests and assignments. I’m quite proud of myself to be honest.
Never expected that I would be able to do HBO.
I remember that my teacher from my last school said to me during a progress call that he was always looking forward to it to talk to me, cause he could level with me during our chats.
He said that my niveau of talking was more HBO likely than MBO. That was a big compliment for me. He even said that he were gonna miss our chats and that he appreciated it so much that I always asked back if everything was okay with him too.

I didn’t do that to get in a better daylight or to get higher scores for my test (apart from coaching he was also my teacher for some classes), but because I truly liked him and he always helped me when I was struggling with something, school- or private related.

So yeah, back to the last weeks.
Last week I’ve had vacation. A-MAY-ZING.
Really enjoyed my vacay and did loads of nice stuff. Hanging out with friends, clubbing, to the movies, zoo, etc. the pictures from the zoo will follow, cause my friend made a lot with his camera that he got for his birthday recently. as you can see, I have wine in my hand in literally ALL the pictures, haha! And it’s not a lie, I’ve been drinking so much wine.. oops! only the last picture with the kiss, where I thank the vacay for his awesome days, is sober. hahaha

I could tell so much more but unfortunately I have to get back to my homework.
I didn’t do ANYTHING for school during the vacation so that means that I have to work a bit harder now to keep up with all the curriculum. πŸ˜‰

One thing I have to tell you before I finish:
Cristina and Julia, my two dear friends from Malta, who almost feel like sisters, both left the first two days of March to live in Australia.
I’m so jealous, haha! I miss them a lot.
Wish I could live with them and just leave the Netherlands for what it is.
I’m not sure if I want to live abroad for forever, but what I do know is that I miss Malta and the whole idea of living somewhere where no one knows you gives me butterflies.
It’s so nice to be on your own and not in depended on anyone.
I wish them both the best of luck there and I really hope that I can visit them one day..

Bye for now. xx πŸ™‚

Ilalu!
That’s the first thing that popped up in my mind when I saw the date today.
ONE YEAR AGO I LEFT HOLLAND FOR MALTA!

Unbelievable. Seriously unbelievable how fast time flies.
I miss Malta so much. I have to admit that I think almost every day about Malta.
Somehow, it feels like I left home there, even tho I missed this home too..
Wish I could separate myself in two to live there and here at the same time.

I wrote a post on facebook and I’m SO happy with all the reactions… It’s so super sweet. It makes me miss Malta even more. Can’t wait for the day that I can go back again for a while. or even for a week would be amazing.

So here some more pictures of my amazing memories there.
Malta, Inhobbok, Missing you HAFNA.

Christmas 2016

It’s Christmas πŸ™‚

I’ve been looking forward to this since weeks! Some quality time with my family. ❀️ on Christmas Eve we went to the church,  where we had a lovely worship. The next morning we had our usual Christmas breakfast. After we went for our Sunday walk.  In the afternoon my brother and his girlfriend arrived. In the evening we had our Christmas dinner with family. It was seriously amazing and I forgot to make more pictures of the food cause I was too busy with eating haha. It was our first Christmas without our granddad who died in May. I missed him a lot and it was heartbreaking to see my mother crying while we were on our way to my family. But we made a special place on the table next to the big table with his picture on it. So he was still with us, kind of. πŸ˜‰β€οΈ the next morning we had our second Christmas dinner including my brother and his gf. They left after and I’ve been going for a walk with my dad and the dog that we did yesterday too. I’ve spended the rest of the day on the couch with my mom watching our favorite movies, called serendipity (my moms favorite Christmas movie) and Pearl Harbor. My number #1!

In the evening we had another lovely Christmas dinner with more wine and watched a serie. I’m so lazy! But I’ve had a great and very cozy Christmas. Exactly how I want itπŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸΌπŸŽŠπŸŒΉ

I don’t have enough time

Amai, the days are too short to complete all the things I have in mind.
Like updating my blog. haha. It’s the first thing what I delete from my to do list when I don’t have enough time.
Simply cause my homework and talking to my friends are more important.
But now I really want to write a small update about the last weeks.
Last weekend we’ve had family-weekend in Winterswijk like last year.
It’s funny to see the pictures from last year compared to now. It’s like the pictures from last year are taken two or three months ago.
It was so nice to see my family again. The last time I saw all of them was during our summer BBQ.
We gave each other nice presents for Santa-Claus. That’s what we always celebrate when we have family-weekend in December. This was the ninth year in a row that we celebrated it there.
The family is getting bigger tho. My oldest cousins and one younger cousin got boyfriends/girlfriend. Nice to meet new people and to see the love between them. haha. so cute….
So speaking about relationships…. hahaha..
I met this guy, Tom, and he is very nice. we’ve been dating two times now and I think I really do like him. Tomorrow we have our third date and I’m really looking forward to it. πŸ™‚
Christmas will be around the corner soon, and I can’t wait to be with my family during those days. It’s nice to live on my own here in Amersfoort, but with these typical family days I absolutely don’t want to be here. haha
So that’s it for now. Time to continue with my schoolwork… haha.. story of my life!

A new place to call ‘home’

I’ve had some days off after a very hectic 7 weeks. 7 weeks where so many things happened, not only for myself, but even for persons who are very important for me.
So those days off were more than welcome.
And in those days, something great happened.
One of my friends, who lives in Amersfoort, moved in to her BF’s apartment.
That means that her room is empty. I can use it whenever I want, and this city is closer to Utrecht, the city where I study. This gonna help me so much and will cost me less travel time, what’s seriously amazing. The traveling costs so much energy.
The room will still be hers, I don’t have to pay anything, except my own food ofc.
She needs the room as back up and she is more than happy to have someone in her room, so she doesn’t pay every month for ‘nothing’. Β I’m so thankful!

I will make pictures from the room asap and post them on my blog.
Today we made an extra set of keys, so I can move in whenever I want. πŸ™‚
I will bring my first stuff to the room tomorrow afternoon.
Looking forward to it and I have some ideas to make the room more cozy!
Will make before and after pictures…. πŸ™‚

Today I started with a new block at school, Block B, what’s all about ‘living’.
I’m quite nervous for this blog, since a lot of teachers tells us that it’s a difficult subject.
But I’m ready for it and will do my best ofc. πŸ™‚

Anyways, goodnight for now and talk to u later!

Autumn is here

It’s been a while since my last post…
When I checked my online diary, I saw that my last post was about the party from my aunt and uncle.
That’s one hand a half month ago, haha. I’ve been so busy with school (still) that I barely have time to add some pictures and a small update about what I’m doing these days.
But now I can write something, finally.
School is going fine. I enjoy it a lot and even tho I have to wake up every day damn early, I don’t regret it at all.
I have to admit that I miss Malta a lot the last days.
I miss my Maltese friends, my flatmates and the sun and sea…
Two days ago I hand in my assignment for the first block. I worked soooo hard on it. and I’m quite satisfied with the results! In three weeks I will receive the rating, and I’m so curious.
The pictures above are made in the last weeks.
I had some nice parties and weekends as well, but I can’t find good pictures or even the pictures in general anymore. haha.
This Monday I will have my first exam and I have to study so much… 😦
So this was the small update, now I have to get back to workyyyy. acting like a nerd and shit :p
